American Apparel Earns 100 Percent Rating on Human Rights Corporate Equality Index

American Apparel announces that the Company is receiving a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.  

"I'm thrilled that we were able to enhance our employee offerings with transgender benefits, which are now in our insurance policies. We will continuously strive to provide the most comprehensive benefit packages for our outstanding employees who are passionate individuals from all backgrounds," said CEO Paula Schneider. "We will continue to champion the causes most important to American Apparel, including gender equality."

PromoCorner Names Sarah Sumner Distributor Sales Manager

PromoCorner announced that Sarah Sumner recently joined the promotional products service provider company as distributor sales manager. Sumner’s focus is to provide support to promotional product distributors, with the goal to increase visibility and provide education of the many facets of online marketing PromoCorner offers.

She started her career in the promotional products industry seven years ago as the sales and marketing coordinator with supplier Bay State Specialty Co. While working for Bay State, her priority was building trusted relationships with distributors. She was responsible for providing the right tools to help grow business, by supporting distributors with product suggestions, selling tips, case studies, samples and marketing materials. This experience has given her a well-rounded industry perspective on the needs of both suppliers and distributors.
